November 2021: Fundipedia and Opus Nebula have integrated their cloud-based SaaS solutions to provide a turnkey solution for fund data management and fund reporting for investment houses, wealth managers and asset servicers.

ON News LinkedIn

The initial integration was undertaken to provide an automated end-to-end solution for a UK based independent investment management house dedicated to providing a high-quality and efficient service for private clients, charities and institutions. The investment house was struggling with a lack of a formal data structure, data controls and data accuracy, with an over-reliance on spreadsheets.  In addition, the resulting fund reports, fund factsheets, KIIDs and other Regulatory required reports were labour intensive and slow to produce, update and distribute.

The successful delivery of the integrated offering provides a complete fund data management solution seamlessly integrated to a world-class fund reporting solution.  Thus, approved product data changes automatically create an updated fund report that is immediately available for distribution to investors, platforms and other third parties as required.

Simon Swords, Managing Director at Fundipedia, commented: “By integrating two world-class, SaaS solutions we have created a market-leading fund data and fund reporting solution for the asset management industry. The solutions are excellent as individual stand-alone systems, but as a combined and integrated solution the offering is compelling.”

Andrew Sherlock, CEO at Opus Nebula notes, “The integrated offering was actually relatively simple to deliver, both solutions are SaaS and cloud-based. This is definitely a case of the result being greater than the sum of the two parts. Legacy firms will struggle to compete with this integrated offering in terms of functionality, flexibility, workflow, automation and of course, cost. As well as producing accurate and complete reports on a regular basis, the triggering of reports from a data change is a key feature of this solution – a great example of this is the automatic production of a revised KIID or KID based on a data update or value change.”
